Bamboo is a fast-paced one-button game. You are constantly running and cutting bamboo that grows in random places. You score points by collecting bamboo. You can run through yellow bamboo to collect it. When bamboo becomes green, you have to cut it multiple times to stop it and you don't get any points from it. Your goal is to stop bamboo from growing and reaching the top. The game is over when bamboo reaches the top of the screen.
